The fifth and final forum for young leaders within the framework of the Zen 2.0 Caravan project has been successfully implemented.
The forum was attended by 11 people aged 16 to 24: 36% aged 15 to 17, 63% aged 18 to 24.
The youth of the Forum, which took place on February 14, 2024, at the premises of the Novus Association in Strumica, took an active part in three mentoring trainings. The trainings covered three topics, the training in public speaking and creative expression, in order to advance individual communication skills, the training in individual and group advocacy, in order to represent before various institutions and bodies within the legal order in the country, but also at the international level, and the third training dedicated to techniques and methods for maintaining stable immunity on a physical and psychological level.
Over a period of 2 months, they will act as an informal group, which will be tasked with creating positive social change through acquired skills and experiences. In addition, they themselves will propose and select an essential and significant problem of interest to young people, but also to all citizens of the municipality and, with the support of mentors, will take an active role and initiate solutions for it.
After the successful forums in the Municipality of Aerodrom, Gostivar, Bitola, Kumanovo and Strumica, Zen 2.0 Caravan continues to encourage young people and through their active action and initiation of changes to connect them with local authorities and competent institutions on the chosen issue, in order to achieve a change that has been initiated and achieved thanks to their commitments.
The initiated changes of young leaders from 5 municipalities, which are already in the process of implementation in Skopje, Gostivar, Bitola, Kumanovo and soon in Strumica, will be announced at a special event during the month of March 2025.
