Young leaders participated in the 4th Mentoring Youth Forum within the framework of the Zen 2.0 Caravan project, organized by the Equality Association.
The forum was attended by 7 people aged 16 to 24 years, pupils and students from municipal secondary and state higher education institutions: 43% aged 15 to 17 years, 43% aged 18 to 20 years, 14% aged 21 to 24 years.
The youth at the Forum, which took place on November 22, 2024, at the MultiKulti Center in Kumanovo, first attended the following mentoring trainings: “Public Speaking and Creative Self-Presentation” to improve individual communication skills, the training “How to Successful Individual and Group Advocacy” successful self-advocacy before various institutions and bodies within the legal order in the country, but also at the international level, and the third training entitled “Physical and Mental Immunity” dedicated to techniques and methods for maintaining stable immunity on a physical and psychological level.
The young participants from the Municipality of Kumanovo in the following period will act as an informal group tasked with creating positive social changes through the acquired skills and experience. For this purpose, in the coming period, they will focus on selecting an essential and significant issue of interest to them – as young people, but also to all citizens of the municipality and with the support of mentors, they will proceed with proposing and implement solutions.
After the successful forums in the Municipality of Aerodrom, Gostivar, Bitola and Kumanovo, Zen 2.0 Caravan continues to prepare for the Municipality of Strumica and further initiates cooperation with organizations working in the field of youth challenges, as well as with local authorities in order to implement the proposed solutions.
The call for young people participating from the Municipality of Strumica will be published in early January 2025.
